Apollo Engineering was founded in 1986 by Martinus van der Meulen and Frits de With. In the heart of Friesland, a shop was bought in the center of Aldeboarn and converted into an engineering office.

This office soon became too small. Since 1996, Apollo Engineering is located on the outskirts of the village of Aldeboarn. Here’s more room for the engineers and the machines they have designed can be assembled and tested on this location

In 2010 Van der Meulen and De With took a step back and they handed over Apollo Engineering to Erik Zwaagstra and Bauke van den Akker. They are now in charge of the company.
